Class Deans

Class Deans

Class Deans are responsible for the academic and social progress of the students in their class. Using a holistic approach, Class Deans work closely with teachers, coaches, dorm heads, advisors, the Dean of Faculty, Dean of Academic Affairs, and the Dean of Students.  They monitor and evaluate student progress and establish individual support as needed. Class Deans celebrate student achievement and communicate closely with families.  

Class Deans also work to develop a class identity and run grade-specific programming. For example, the 11th-grade Dean works closely with our College Guidance Office as the students begin the college process, whereas the 9th-grade Dean implements a series of programs meant to initiate students into the high school and boarding experience.
